Cam Newton has been blazing a trail into the NFL for the shotgun QB straight out of College.  Too often we forget that games are physical in nature, specifically football.  So the confidence that a big, fast, and physical Cam Newton has when he drops back is similar to the feeling that anyone of us has when playing against a bunch of older guys that are clearly not on our levels. They wheeze he cheeses, just when they get close he slaps away their hands, and then there is the ability to trust his teammates and believe that they will make the play for him. WR Steve Smith is one of those teammates, one who in this Madden ratings age of what have you done for me lately was thought to be washed up emerged as the big play threat that he always was, it wasn’t his fault the QB position was really bad the last couple of years.  Steve Smith and TE Greg Olsen give Cam very explosive players at their positions and he has shown the trust in his weapons and his own skills and the commitment from the coaching staff to tailor the offense towards him has shown that talent is talent and confidence is confidence. The deep throws that Cam has been able to throw have been benefited from the threat of the run or the run option.  Cam has the strength and swagger to make DBs think twice about tackling him. 400yds! more than once too are you serious?? That’s the question that everyone asked after wk 1. Cam is such a beast I can’t even properly express or edit all the things he will do to revolutionize the NFL QB position…Let’s just say…to be continued.
