Linsanity had it’s first major setback last night, the first time a team decided to play full court, get in you, defense to slow down and exploit a weakness of the knicks and Jeremy, his ball handle, does this make it 12pm for Linderella? Maybe, but just like Cinderella found love, Lin needs to fine, tune his handle. A happy ending still can exist, now why didn’t the Knicks big 2 step up and keep the Knicks close in the 2nd half? I understand not bringing Melo over for the fear of inviting LeBron to trap Lin, but Stat had a little bounce in his step and if he and Melo could play off of each other the Knicks would have won this game, the first half seemed like a mismatch everywhere except on the scoreboard, all be it Wade and a few other Heat players missed on typically routine scoring opportunities for them, the facts is that Stat plays better with a 3pt shooting sf like Gallinari who pulls players away from him. The Knicks’ fans are ready to trade Stat but in the real world no one is trading for a player one year after he signed a big contract, sirens go off in an opposing GM’s head. Melo is at his peak and does incorporate the 3 pointer into his game, just at his pace. It’s up to Mike D’Antoni to figure out how these players fit. It’s the fan’s job to want results now.
